The name of the DIYer is Bryant Haverkamp, and he has been building a jeep from the Halo series for the seventh year. The project is close to completion: the car is on the move and almost completely finished in the style of the original.
The basis was the old Chevrolet K10 all-wheel drive pickup in 1984. However, little is left of the elderly Chevy: the frame has been shortened, and the V-shaped engine has been replaced from the original six-cylinder to an eight-cylinder with a three-speed transmission.
The body is entirely made of custom parts, and many components are 3D printed - dashboard, trim elements, bushings, indicator housings and more.
Still, there are some differences from the original "Boar". For example, the windshield is simplified and the steering is only two-wheel drive instead of four, although the last point Bryant promises to fix in the near future, as soon as the customized rear axle and hydraulics are ready.
