B9Creations is a great example of a crowdfunding company. The first DLP printer project, called “B9Creator,” published in 2012, raised over half a million dollars. A year later, another campaign followed in support of an improved version of V.1.1, which raised almost $ 300 thousand. Both times the company managed to do what optimistic startups rarely succeed in delivering the finished product on the promised date.
Now the well-established enterprise of engineer-inventor Michael Joyce independently launches the production of new-generation 3D polymer-based printers B9Creator Core, available in two versions. The new series uses proprietary technology using industrial-grade HD LED backlighting and allows you to print about four times faster than average competitors.
“Thousands of enterprises have told us that they feel caught between affordable technologies that suffer from low speed and require constant maintenance, and more convenient options that require large investments for acquisition and operation. Taking into account the wishes of the market, we decided to create a new B9 Core Series offering a combination of high resolution, speed and first-class ease of use, previously not available in this cent segment, ”said Sean Anderson, CEO of B9Creations.
Available options are designated "B9 Core 530" and "B9 Core 550". Interconnected differences are in print speed, layer thickness, and print area size. Core 530 is designed primarily for high-precision rapid prototyping and production of unique products. The pixel size is 30 microns, and it takes 8-12 minutes to grow one centimeter. The pixel size of the Core 550 is 50 microns, and it prints this option more slowly, building one centimeter in 16-24 minutes, but it has an increased build area - 96x54x127 mm versus 57.6x32.4x127 mm for the Core 530. Resolution on the Z axis and In addition, in another variant it reaches 10 microns. The wavelength of the LED emitters is 405 nm.
Connection options include USB, Wi-Fi and Ethernet, printers are equipped with an air filtration system that removes fumes and odors, and the rather modest dimensions of the systems, 597x419x267 mm, are perfect for installation in small offices.
