CTC Electronic, a fast-growing company that introduced a low-cost SLA 3D printer, and two FDM 3D printers, one with a large print area and a second two-extruder, launched Kickstarter with a hybrid 3D printer called Formaker.

For $ 999 you get a CNC engraver, a laser cutter, etching printed circuit boards, and in addition an FDM 3D printer with two extruders, the filament thickness is 1.75 mm, the working area is 225 x 145 x 150 mm. Management occurs through the color LCD touch screen.

Formaker has a 350mW laser for engraving images on wood and leather. The CNC module can cut wood, acrylic, brass, aluminum, and plastics. This module is also responsible for etching printed circuit boards. Formaker is compatible with third-party software for 3D printing, but for other functions, it is possible to use only a solution from CTC Electronic.

Formaker is the result of a collaboration between CTC Electronic led by Chris Donovan in the USA and Don Mint in India, along with structural design specialist Young Mint in the UK. The machine is manufactured in a Chinese company for 8000 square meters. m. factory, where, according to CTC Electronic, it is possible to produce 5,000 devices per month.
