Although Iron Man's costume is popular among cosplayers and modellers, few people recall the original design, assembled by Tony Stark from improvised materials and used to escape from angry terrorists. Fortunately, one fan nevertheless uploaded a magnificent, detailed model.

Our hero’s name is Yan Min Wu, although he is known under the nickname JarvisWoo on the Thingiverse — try to introduce Paul Bettany to Limo. As a teacher at the Museum of Science and Technology of China, Yan Min is interested in breakthrough achievements, even if they so far exist only in the imagination of artists and filmmakers. Hence the project for modeling armor Iron Man Mk I.

Modeling was carried out using the Cinema 4D software package. In total, the design took about three months. Yan Min made his replica from PLA-plastic simply because it is forbidden to print ABS, and indeed use toxic materials in the museum. As a result, he had to tinker a lot with the assembly using miniature screws.

The thumbnail consists of 96 parts, but gluing it will be quite simple, since the maker provided the necessary diagrams. In addition, the project is divided into seven parts - arms, legs, head, upper and lower torso. This should help avoid excessive confusion.
